I Need a Good Modeling Program for Beginners

Would anyone be able to help me find one? I already tried Blender, and I didn't really like it. If anyone would be able to help me find some good free ones, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

To get your content into Torque, you'll still need to UV map & texture it, and export it in .dts format.
You might also want to take a look at: Ultimate Unwrap 3D Pro (a great $60.00 tool), Hexagon (a so-so tool that's been slowly getting better over time - www.daz3d.com/i.x/software/hexagon/-/?&_m=d).
Blender's .dts exporter has come a long way, and it's not too tough to figure out just enough about blender to use it for exporting static models to .dts, and learn more about blender as you go along.

For learning basic 3D *modeling* (and no animated models), have a look at Wings 3D ( www.wings3d.com/). It's free, it works on Win32, OSX, and Linux, it's fast, and it's Wavefront .obj import/export works well.To get your content into Torque, you'll still need to UV map & texture it, and export it in .dts format.

Hexagon 2.5 is a good modelling app as well, I find it easier to make some models in Hex than I do Silo. the 2.2 version was hideous, 2.5 is pretty stable for me at this stage. I've also 1/2 considered trying to write a DTS exporter for Daz's Carrara, which is fairly cheap, but I'm not sure I'm willing to spend the time when I can just use Blender!
The Greenbriar 3D toolbox at http://www.greenbriarstudio.com/3D/ToolBox/ToolBox.htm will (in one version) export DTS, but it's not free ($185.00 for the DTS-enabled version).

Silo is inexpensive and powerful but doesn't export DTS. What you *could* do is model in one app, the bring it into Blender to rig and animate, and export DTS from there (which is the pipeline I'm currently fiddling with). Blender is a PITA to learn, but once you get past the huge learning curve it's quite a powerful tool.Hexagon 2.5 is a good modelling app as well, I find it easier to make some models in Hex than I do Silo. the 2.2 version was hideous, 2.5 is pretty stable for me at this stage. I have used Both Milkshape and blender and find blender to be just the steepest learning curve of any 3D Modeling program I have ever used it may have many more features but I find Milkshape way more useful because of the ease of use. It has enough features for my liking.Lately I have been considering getting game space its $300 but looks really good and its also supported by Torque.

If you still need help, then I suggest that you give Houdini a try, it has one of the best animation tools out there, and it exports to DTS right out of the box.

You could always try Google Sketchup.
