by Derek Pogorzelski · in Jobs · 09/04/2002 (4:36 pm) · 2 replies

Hello All,
I know there are quite a number of teams looking for help and all and I think I am one of them. Currently it is just me, I am a 3d Modeller and Animator. I have three copyrighted design docs that I have an interest to see created. I am looking for experienced programmers, 3d artist, animators, concept and storyboard artist and skinners and texturers. If you feel you can help out and form Team Shadowbox email me at shadowbox@hotmail.com I will email the design doc to you to see if this is something you are interested in.

Thank You
Seizer

Could you just give a basic outline of the type of game, rough story etc... I don't want to have to wade through a design doc just to find out its not the kind of thing I'm interested in. You're more likely to get people interested if you give a general description. No one's going to rip your idea off around here.

sorry man, but I dont think your going to attract a team like this, first off, your supposed to use the help wanted ads, and and everyone kinda gets annoyed when poeple trash up the forums with this kinda crap... I dont think anyone will really get upset though, since you have only been a member for like 2 days, you probably just didnt know better, but thats another problem, this post is the only thing you have ever done... a lot of people here at GG kinda know each other from seing a long history of forum posts and profiles... but nobody really knows who you are, if you want to get skilled experienced people to join your team, then your going to have to make yourself a little better known around GG... join discussions in the forums, make a personal site with your design docs and concept art... even start making the game yourself and leave and dev snapshot. people will want to make sure that you know enough about torque and making a game in general to lead the project succesfully, nobody wants to be in a team with a newbie that knows nothing about torque or any of the technical issues of making a game... I'm sorry but a design doc just wont cut it around here, its good that you can model, but I'm afraid you havnt really given any of us evidence that you would know what your doing if you led a project.... my advice is to keep working on your game, maybe even start it, once you have something to show, then leave a dev shot... you will probably get a lot better responses :)

good luck
