Need some help

Hey, i am completely new to TGE and I was going through the "getting started" link and it began to discuss visual c++. I do not have it on my computer and it tells me to follow the installation instructions that came with my package. I am unaware of where this "package" is and where the instructions are for downloading my visual c++ 7.1.
