Underground Designs

Howdy, I have some models that start as a shed above ground and through a series of tunnels, goes underground to rooms below surface. *Takes deep breath* So, I have edited the map in my game to fit my desire and put the model so the main shed is on a hill and the tunnels go into the ground. (Also connected to the shed model.) However, the ground is visible within the shed/tunnels model and so the player can't access these tunnels. Now here's my question. How would I go about removing the terrain from inside the sheds tunnels without having to lower the terrain down? Is there a tool or trigger do acomplish this?

Use the set empty tool.

To finish what Caleb suggested, open the terrain editor, click on the part of the terrain that''s blocking your way and set it empty or delete it. That will open up a hole in the terrain for you.

Hey. So the set empty tool removed more than I wanted. The shed is small and the smallest it seems to set empty makes it empty around my shed too. Like so.

Try adding some ground around your Shed DIF in Constructor, Quark or whatever you use.

If you make this ground slope away from the base of your shed and wide enough to cover the hole it should work.

If you're concerned about the texture on the DIF ground not matching the Torque terrain you can cover it up with trees, bushes boulders etc.

You CAN just make the size of the terrain grid smaller.
