Program finder?

Hi
When I try to open anything in the example/starter.fps/data/missions it says that windows doesn't know what program created it so now I can't update my mission! If anyone knows what program or publisher I can assign the file too and tell me that would be great.
Thanks,
Jordan

I would also suggest that you use a forum that is appropriate for your question--really not sure how you found the Conferences forum for this type of question, hehehe.

(This next statement is not meant as a putdown or condescension, just solid advice.) Although you can open a *.mis file outside of Torque, the fact that you're asking this kind of question (and especially in this forum) means that you're a new user, and probably wouldn't know what to do with it if you DID open it in a text editor like Notepad or Codeweaver. It's better for you if you don't do that: you could corrupt the file so that it won't load at all. Better just to load it from inside Torque, and then edit the mission with the Mission Editor.
However as Stephen pointed out, this discussion doesn't belong in Conferences and would be better continued elsewhere. There's a "Getting Started" forum in the TGE section that would better serve your needs.

Well, for what it's worth, the only filetype you can really "open" in the example/starter.fps/data/missions is a *.mis file. Normally, you start Torque first, and then load the mission from inside Torque.(This next statement is not meant as a putdown or condescension, just solid advice.)
