Finished Graveyard

Well, the graveyard's done.... for now at least. I think I want to model out some crows to perch on the headstones and in the old dead tree in the back ground, give it that good depressing look. I cheated a bit, however, the gravestones were all made in 3D MAX, but hey, everything was Constructor. All of the gravestones have their own unique inscriptions, most poking fun at myself and my friends, all in good fun.

Thanks for the comment and suggestions David. It's funny you should mention them actually, the level actually has REALLY thick fog in it but I wanted to take it down for the purpose of showing this image off. The emitter is so thick actually, I think from this view you wouldn't even be able to see the crucifix headstones! I also want to do this level as a night scene because when I look at it, it would work A LOT better as a night scene, I just can't seem to get everything right. Any suggestion on what you think would be the ideal terrain inside here? I changed it from the normal grass to this kinda drab brown to make it look kinda depressing. In any case, thanks again for checking it out!!

One thing that you could do is take the texture that you have there, load it into Photoshop or GiMP and adjust the contrast a bit to drab it down some. Another thing that might be interesting is to add a fresh grave, one that could be a DTS with a dirt texture. Or an open grave with a Dif or DTS and hole cut in the terrain. Also, you can change your sun elevation and darken the sun's color.

Now that you mention it, I can see the fog up at the skyline on the hills. One thing that you could do is take the texture that you have there, load it into Photoshop or GiMP and adjust the contrast a bit to drab it down some. seriously though, a darker environment, some shadows and a lil fog would make this really scary ...
looking forward to more...
