Weapon hands

Purchased the 'mod makers weapons pack', it says it comes with hand models for each gun and I can't seem to figure out how to get them in the game. I got the weapon working using the weapon tool but no hands. Is it in the .dts file or do I need to export new models into .dts files or what? I searched the forums and found some code manip that didn't work. I really need step by step instructions as I am quite the newbie. Thanks
