Was Battlefield 1942 made with the tribes 2 engine?

if not, it sure looks like it.

It does look like it in some pictures, but I don't think it was. The "feel" does look similar in parts though doesn't it?

Nope, it wasn't made with torque... they made their own engine for the game... can't recall how it's called right now though

the name of the engine is the reflection 2 based on the engine they had used to make codenamed: Eagle

I agree Ian, although I did hear today that they're preparing a patch for the multi-player demo. One issue it will address apparently is server stability.

A multiplayer game in need of a server stability patch, tsts, where is the world going... :)

you know it would be interesting to see something like this based on the torque engine. I mean it seems simple, and would be something worth wild.
