Dedicated server issues

Hey,

I have two computers set up. I am trying to set up a network game. If I host a game as a client on one, and connect with the other, the game plays great. However, if I start a dedicated server on one, and connect with the other, I am getting significant jittering and the lag icon. I have read some other threads that seem to be related to this issue. But, all of these threads propose Windows-specific solutions (I am trying to run the dedicated server on a Mac), or the proposed solutions did not solve the issue.

To re-iterate: Using the exact same executable
Client-hosted multi-player matches run smoothly.
A single client connecting to a dedicated server on a different machine does not run smoothly.

Any ideas?
