Truncated shadows

Does anyone have any clue as to why on a DTS model of an airliner, the sun's shadows are only partially cast?

Here's a screenshot of what it looks like:

This is in TSE MS4, btw.

I've seen this with the player shadow being cast onto the terrain. TGEA doesn't seem to have the best lighting/shadowing solution.

P.S. there are specific TGEA forums, they would probably yield a quicker response.
