TGEA is a big complex piece of technology. Sometimes it feels like you never even get "off the ground" with it. Getting a good understanding of the basics is essential for further success. Class topics include:
* Getting started and setting up a new game project folder

* Advanced graphical concepts and Materials (Normal Mapping, Specular Highlighting, Cubemapping ...)

I would love to go to this, but its too far away. Have you thought about going on line with it.
Most of the schools in AZ are going online with there classes.

Morrie, Torque School is online. Perhaps you're thinking of the Torque Boot Camps?

The Torque School is an online college. You register for classes just like you would register for classes at any other college or university. These are not just material downloads; you will have a live instructor, weekly lessons, and yes exams to make sure that you understand all the course content being covered for each class. If you don't understand something in the materials you have an instructor available to answer any questions you may have, as well as class mates to study with who will be learning right along side you.

Hope this helps.

Blessings to you,
-Sparkling

The classes are online and you can review them at your own pace. There will be weekly assignments that go along with the course materials.

TGEA 101 is an introductory course so it doesn't cover anything really AI related, as I consider that an advanced topic. What the course will include is:
* Setting up a new game project folder
* Creating a map with L3DT
* Importing the map into Atlas format
* Materials and advanced graphical concepts
* Game management objects/putting it all together
