V12 Level Editor

Hi,

Just a quick post to ask about V12... I'm not really uptodate on the Tribes 2 level editor (if there is one)... but is there a Tribes 2 editor? If so, can it be used for V12? If not, is there a V12 level editor? Etc etc... I have dabbled in Worldcraft, DEdit and Q3Radiant... and am in a team which is considering porting a Q3 MOD to V12... or at the very least, finishing the Q3 MOD and then developing on/through V12 and was just wondering.
Thanks.

There is a Tribes 2 level editor. The V12 editor will be the same but you won't be able to use any of the copywrited materials from Tribes 2 (levels, objects, scripts, textures, structures, ...) so a Tribes 2 level won't port straight over to the V12 editor. You could use it to build the terrain and lay out your own custom structures and then port the terrain (with different textures) and your custom structures over without much problem. The structures are built in Worldcraft and imported into the editor. This will work the same for the V12 editor.

The t2 editor is in-engine . type editor.open(); at the console to get it. The buildings are all done with worldcraft, i think you can get that at half-life.net

Do you know if V12 uses Worldcraft 3.3 or the original 1.6?

I tried the level editor... not really user friendly. Any of you know a place where I could see a tutorial?

See my POST about releasing the V12 WorldCraft tools early (ie in a few days) and let me know what you think.
