RTS Community Kit?

Hi,
I dont know if there has been much information or talk about something like this. But, It seems to be.. That the RTS KIT itself isnt to "Alive" right now.
Any developers , begginers etc, Thought about such a thing as a "Community" Kit... Freeware/Open-Source.
Alike the idea / concept of the "MMO KIT" that is now opensource, But an RTS Community Kit..
Just wondering.... As i would like to see how many people would be interested in helping with such a thing.
Thanks.

Not meeting either of those requirements would be against the EULA.

Just to be clear here--you guys plan on starting totally from scratch, and not providing public access to any stock Torque or RTS-SK code, correct? Not meeting either of those requirements would be against the EULA.

To clarify, Novack and I are working together to provide resource support to existing GG members and specifically RTS Starter Kit owners through TDN. We are not providing any stock code except in the form of patches and bug fixes to the existing engine, such as we already find in the forums.
We are not selling "kits" (we are not selling anything), they are more what I would term "Resources Packets", resources such as the "World Domination" mod you provided in the forums. We simply are looking to contribute and support the RTS SK community and through doing so, hopefully prompt others to do the same. In the end, our efforts will be posted here in the TDN pages.
Stephen, to be honest I'm personally tired of complaining (I'm a big offender here) and listening to others complain about the apparent "lack of support" for the kit. The RTS SK is a wonderful start and perhaps with just a few of us in the community working together, we can stop the bitching and just get on with it. At the very least, we hope to start open and constructive dialog with in the community regarding the RTS SK and it's development.
Just a note: This posting is my own view and not that necessarily that of Novack. I believe I've communicated our goals well enough but if not, I take full responsibility for that.

First, thanks James, it is in fact my view too :)
I think James misunderstood initially what FlameGuard was proposing. Thats not what we are doing. What we are doing is some work from the community to the community, just a search for motivating people, as I been doing for some months now.
Some examples: we take the pulse to the RTS community on this thread: Who's alive in this part of the world?
And later direct work...
RTS Kit community Blog, the RTS Kit Community Census, the Index of RTS Related Resources
Coming soon: Clean, polished how-to port to TGE 1.5.2 on TDN
@Stephen, I know you are always short in time, but please make a little post here to make sure you read this.
Edit: So FlameGuard (and all rts community people), do not feel hopeless! it would be always better to work together on this. With James we wanna make this little step, and then begin to work that way with more and more people.

Ok, sounds fine :)
Torque 3D Owner James
Tired of complaining about the state of affairs with the RTS Starter Kit, both Novack and I have decided to work together on just such an initiative. Would you be interested in joining us or contributing?
Cheers :)
