Hello all,
I currently have enough offers to work for game-projects to keep me busy for a while. I'll post again when I can accept more work.
Paid job offers are still welcome though.
Cheers,
Dieko

Hello all,
I'm looking for a team for which I can do some modeling work to fill up my portfolio (it's still close to empty). I don't ask much, just a team that knows what they are doing and are serious in working towards a game release.
I know quite some about game-modeling/mapping/texturing, but just haven't worked on many game projects yet. So for now I'll model for just the royalties, some in-game screenshots and for the sheer fun of it.
Cheers,
Dieko.

It's not so relevant what software I use for modeling projects because most 3D packages support similar import/export formats. It is no problem to work with models made in a different 3D package, as long as they are exported and imported properly.
Though when working together on big cut-scenes with effects and animations, sharing project files in native format is the only way to go. But for now, I'm just modeling characters and props.
Looking for a modeler?

You're right. Though my e-mail and portfolio addresses are in my profile, it is easier like this. It's not so relevant what software I use for modeling projects because most 3D packages support similar import/export formats. Your examples show only wireframe models. Have you done any texturing work on the models? More screenies would be nice. :-)

They are UV mapped, but just not textured. I've textured before. It was when I still made artist-impressions for an architect. These are just the game models I have that are portfolio ready. I will add a new model at the end of this week. Currently working on a character model for fistful-of-frags.com (source engine based).

Also wanted to mention: I have made 2 web-interface games before, one which was a total failure and one which actually went quite good. So i know what kind of task it is to undertake, even though "real" games takes a lot more out of the programmer and artists.

You might want to consider joining our team. We are quite serious, and i know what i am doing to at least some extent. But im in no way a magician and its purely a hobby game, i dont except to get money out of it at all. We curently consist of a conceptual artist, and not some 13 year old who draws pictures of DBZ characters, but a fully fledged 23 year old with some comercial experience, there is me, 19 year old programmer, i have been coding since about age 14 in different languages before i fell for torque, and now im reading at a kind of computer software schol. Also we have secondary coder, but he sucks. Our project is merely an old schol adventure rpg, multiplayer but not massively so. Set in a sci-fi-steampunk setting, with an empire that reminds of the roman contrapart. Its has some inovation, but not much at all. If your the tiniest tad interested in joining, just drop a line here. Also wanted to mention: I have made 2 web-interface games before, one which was a total failure and one which actually went quite good.
