TGB problem, Fish Behavior tutorial

I am using TGB v1.5.1 and playing around with the Fish Game behavior tutorial. As long as I don't have any of the background images, I can play the game from the builder just fine. With the background images, when I try to play it within the builder, it seems to lag quite noticeably.

I have noticed that if, while playing, I bring up the TGB window and then minimize it again, the game playing in the level testing window will run fine. Also, if I build the game, then close TGB and run the built version of the game, it will run fine.

Is there a fix or is it just a quirk I will have to learn to live with?

I am running Windows XP Pro with a 2.5 GHz Intel Celeron processor and 768MB RAM.

I have the same exact problem, but did not find the workarounds you discovered. I will need to try those out. As soon as I add a background image, my framerate drops to around .75 FPS. The issue may be related to having an Intel integrated video card. Do you know what card you have? I'm not sure why that would make a difference on a static background image, though, but this is the current assumption I am using.

I played (or attempted to play) someone's compiled/built TGB game and even that ran too slowly.

For now, I don't add static background images, so I lose out on seeing the layers in action which is a bit disappointing.

I am also using the Intel integrated video card.

We ran into a similar thing with a QA laptop as well... I believe it was running an intel integrated video card as well.
