Modeling Question on RW

by Eli McClanahan · in General Discussion · 08/17/2002 (8:33 pm) · 5 replies

What program(s) is everyone using to model objects for Realm Wars? I'd like to get into it, but at a reasonable price.

I got to thinking about it when I realized that about a year ago my dad bought TurboCAD 7.0 on one of his crazy buying sprees. He's never used it, of course, so... I'm guessing that cad files are of no use though, right?

you can export to .dts/.dsq (player and vehicles) wth 3d Studio Max ($5,000.00) or MilkShape($20.00) and you can use WorldCraft or Quark (both free) for .dif files (buildings) Links can be found here at GarageGamess

i use QuArK to modelling Objects, its very simply and u can make objects fast.
to see what QuArK can do, look my picturepage. all the new objects are selfmade.
(u need also the minipy15b plug to export to dif files)

Well, I downloaded QuArK, but I'm not sure how to use it... It looks like it's just a map maker for Quake to me.

You guys also forgot (as always) to mention that there is also Lightwave support for version 6 and 6.5 I believe thanks to Lightwave Dave Fulcrum.

Anthony: Max is MSRP of 3500 USD for a commercial liscense not 5000.
