Glow issue: TGEA water demo

by Paul Ash · in Torque Game Engine Advanced · 09/01/2007 (12:58 pm) · 1 replies

I seem to be having a problem with the glow shader in the TGEA. Im rather new to the engine(worked with TGE for over a year tho) and it seem to be oddly specific issue. Using the normal demo glow works fine, doesnt shine thru anything doesnt disapear and reapear randomly, but in the water demo(Which im using as a starting point for my level editor) the glow maps act rather odd.

They dont show properly when you are close to them(they clip away as if they are z fighting with the non-glow part of the texture) and from a distance they glow fully and thru everything, im totally at a loss of what to do at this point im sure this is a common issue, thanks for any help.

New information.

It seems it works fine on my laptop, which has a much older and no where near as good video card. (its an ATI while my desktop is a nvidia)

so now its really werid, to recap. Demo project works fine on both computers, water terrian demo doesnt work right on desktop, laptop both work.

not sure what could be wrong now.

oh, and on the laptop and in the demo on the pc, the same issue occurs while in the editor, if it where just that, there'd be no problem
