Flamethrower

A long time ago, I created a flamethrower using the TGB particle system (http://www.garagegames.com/blogs/3928/8253). I'm trying to recreate that same effect (I don't have original sources) but cannot for the life of me figure out how I did it.

Anyone want to take a crack at it?
