And have your english teacher hand you some exercises as well, you often sound horrible vague, which i guess is a side effect of being 13 and part of the counter strike generation. Not that i spoke any beter when i was 13.
"well what tought you?
If you can learn that in three months then if i dive i can do it in 2. any good tuts?"
That part in particular, is it some kind of hidden insult? It kinds of sugests that you would learn it faster than me, which in turn means that you would be smarter than me? Or do you imply that i state that if you "dive", in this case meaning aiming really low, u would learn it in two months, but "it" here being a very little amount of knowledge?
Enough of my rant, check out Kens book for a starlit path as a game developer
And another thing: since you want to make an rpgish game, you probably want to include static data to, for that i recomend you to use dreamers sqLite integration guide. In fact dreamer has made an entire guide for mmorpgs for torque 1.4. It contains some errors, but it help with the general outline.

Ok not that i am the right guy to be teaching this but what i would do as an exercise if i was in your boots, is the following: Learn about objects, learn about datablocks. Then you could try and do some nifty stuff with your newfound knowledge like... Making Kork stand still if you have the original fps starter, creating a new object of kork and make the crossbow deal more damage. Then break maxDamage(no link here, but you will find an most excelent search window in the upper right corner) out of the datablock using one of the available resources. And regarding the tutorials: most tutorials cover a specific topic, i dont think you will find that many tutorials which takes you through the basic stuff. Thats what books are for. I used Ken finnigans book, "an introduction to 3d programing"(or something like that). I read it to the 6th chapter, and then i used the other chapters as reference for additional functions i added. And have your english teacher hand you some exercises as well, you often sound horrible vague, which i guess is a side effect of being 13 and part of the counter strike generation. Not that i spoke any beter when i was 13.

I think Ted was just trying to help out, and though his post was very direct, I personally didn't see any derogatory slant in it other than his attempt to ground you to be alittle more realistic. Modding the engine IS a good way to learn.. or to say, get your feet wet. But jumping in till your up to your neck might not be the way to go initially is all. But there is no place here for blatent or even hidden insults.. It's a waist of your time and mine (when I come to read the forums to give or receive info and find this stuff instead).Good luck with your endeavors.

Ok. And i didn't mean any disrespect when i said i could learn somethings in 2 months i just meant that if i get really bored i start going fast. I've searched my dad's book shelves and found c++ ipe i think it's ok right now. And if i have questions i'll go right to you ted.

A sequence of video files are playing according the list of files made. But there is a problem in playing the video files in cut scenes.that is it plays the video by creating a new window called "active movie window." I dont understand why the active movie window gets created and plays.
