Rigging a character properly for DTS export

I'm trying to create a demo where I have a character walk around in the Torque engine. During the last week, modeled out my character, but converting her to a DTS is a little more difficult than I thought. I need to know how to approch this.
First, here is a picture of my model.

I haven't UV mapped her yet because some of the textures rely on objects that can't be joined. (eyes, for example), however, it seems DTS requires objects to be rigged a particular way, but I can't figure out how to do it. I'm actually going to be using some BVH files I purchased to animate my character, so the idea was to model my character, UV map her, import the BVH files for her various animations, and then export as a DTS to make her run around in the game.
Can someone point me to a tutorial on how to set up a user-controlable player model using Blender? I don't need to texture map her right away. I just don't want to rig her all up, only to find that my animation set up is all wrong for the DTS export.
I need a tutorial so that the stand, walk, and run animations are properly used when I walk my character around in the world. I've found tutorials on static objects that the character can run into, but nothing on the characters themselves.
Thanks for the help.

The first link that you provided, Creating a working player model in Blender is broken. I.e. the resource has been chopped off, this has happened to quite a few GG resource pages and the bug has been reported many times.

Read the resource, it is chopped off just before it's about to begin the tutorial. The other links are just primers for the resource.
