Orc Armory idea

I was playing around with an idea for an armory today. Was a nice break from TSRR buildings and fun practice. :o) It's an Orc's head with an entrance via the mouth to a subterranean hallway (the throat) that leads into the armory itself. This is my first attempt at it. Sorry it's dark. I placed the shape on the backside of the hill to see the eye effect better.

It's currently at 470 polys with the full head and throat entrance. I'm going to try a few different approaches on the head before I commit to the rest of the armory, as well as create new textures. It's a real pain to try and create decent horns in worldcraft. :o\ Heh. Let me know if you want it, Pascal.

I think some other textures could really make a diferance..

Love the idea Tyler but i agree with Djagg the textures need some work. The over all shape could be difined a bit better and i would make it a bit bigger...I think some other textures could really make a diferance..

Is there any chance to get dts shadowed (any time ??) I think the entrance made as a dts will look great (more details etc.)

I love this. Mark and I were just looking at this and commenting how powerful this whole Realm Wars idea is going to be. The idea that Tyler could just go away and have some fun, yet the entire community gets the benefit is very cool indeed!Jeff Tunnell GG

Tylar try creating the horns as a seperate dts, and placing them in the map that way. just an idea

My personal thought is that although the model is good, it could really be cool if it had more of cave look that was modified by crude Orc tools. Keep the face of the Orc but maybe blend it into the shape of the rock as well.Just my 2 cents.

We would still be intrested if you would work this thing out... If you don't feel like it, we would be happy with what you got so far, we can see if we can update it our selves a bit, or maybe just use it like it is. After all it isn't a bad peice of workand the idea totaly rocks.

Hey what ever happend to this one... Tyler you dropped the whole idea or are you still working on it??? We would still be intrested if you would work this thing out... Sorry Pascal, was still tinkkering with it. Now the sad part... I lost it when my rig had a melt down at IGC. Registry dumped and had to reformat. :( Right now I'm knee deep in TSRR worldcraft work. When I get a chance I'll start a new one up again.
