Questions about buying 1.4

Title says it all.
1. What does TGE 1.5 have to offer besides the integrated Torque Lighting Kit? I'm about to buy 1.4 while continuing to make my way to be able to buy 1.5, but I want to know if I should just buy the lighting kit and throw that into 1.4 if it is cheaper and any new features arent worth it.
2. I am actually $1.60 away from my $100 goal for 1.4. Do I need to dig around under my couch cushions for change and get what I need or do I also need to pay tax?

I'd go straight for 1.5.. the benefits far outweigh the additional cost. plus, if you are even slightly serious about doing anything with it you should use the latest and greatest (same reason you wouldnt buy Visual Studio 2003 when 2005 is available).. check out the 1.5 page, theres a lot more than just the lighting kit (ie showtool).

by time you buy the lighting kit you might as well buy 1.5.
Besides the point you can add the modernization kit to 1.5 which will give you game some flare.
I'd go for 1.5.

Thanks for the replies, but am I going to have to pay some kind of sales tax or paypal transaction fee?

* VISA
* MasterCard
* MoneyOrder or BankCheck (USD)
Paypal is not directly accepted. Never used Paypal so I do not know if there is a "credit card" option through them. If so I would see Paypal and find out what fees they charge.
Garage Games does not apply sale tax to the purchase, which then falls under your local laws. Being your profile say MN.

Buying on the web
If you buy taxable items over the Internet or through mail order for use in Minnesota, you must pay Minnesota sales and use tax. If the business from which you made the purchase does not charge you sales tax, you must pay use tax directly to the state. The same rules apply when you go to another state and buy taxable items for use in Minnesota.

Are there any exceptions?
Purchases made by an individual for personal use are exempt from use tax if the individual's total purchases subject to use tax are $770 or less in the calendar year. If an individual buys more than $770 of taxable items in a calendar year, all of that person's purchases are taxable.
