Any project news on a Mac version of TGEA?

Honestly, if TGEA ever comes out for platforms other than Windows, it will be happy day. Until then, either write it yourself [a *lot* of work, judging by the fact GG haven't done it themselves], "limit" yourself to TGE, or use a different engine.

The MK kit for TGE is cross-platform isn't it? TGE with MK is a decent alternative :)

The engine will be very attractive to me (as I suspect it will be for other Mac users) when the upgrade path is clear. Although the Modernisation Kit is great news, part of the appeal of multi-platform engine is the wider knowledge base and larger community that comes with a common implementation. It's been 6 months since the DirectX release - any news?

Could we get a statement from GG on their vision for multi-platform support? The engine will be very attractive to me (as I suspect it will be for other Mac users) when the upgrade path is clear. What are you talking about?
Edit: Ah yeah. I see what you're saying now. The *official release* was 6 months ago, true. Thanks Tim.

The official TGEA version 1 release was in February, it's now August, that's six months. Although I think I see your point Stefan, TGEA has been in development since at least 2004.

We're working on it, and will have more to say about it before the end of the year.
Share and Enjoy.

Well, the official position on Mac shader engine support is this: We're working on it, and will have more to say about it before the end of the year.

Heheh, I'm protecting myself by adding an extra delay. I shouldn't be disappointed that way. ;-)

Nothing to be expected before next year IMHO.
