Hi guys,
I have a problem with multiplayer servers : Client from the internet cannot find it.
My router is configured just fine, it works under windows but not under linux ubuntu feisty fawn.
I've opened the ports 28000 to 28005 using firestarter, even tryed to disable firewall (firestarter) : not working either.
I've already checked dozens of times IPs, NAT etc, can't get a clue on why it's working under Windows and not linux !
I try to be seen from the monitor at www.gnometech.com, just got server timeout.

Are these the same machine, dual-booting? If not, then your router won't be configured just fine, since it won't forward packets appropriately to the linux box.
Also, opening ports should be done on UDP as well as TCP, I believe.

thing is, if I try a "hard connect", meaning by that with a friend trying to connect directly with IP and port, it works !
So IP route is working. That's GG's master server that's not sending IP's when I'm under linux. It might be some cloaking that I have under linux and not under windows.
