TGE on Mac 10.3.9 with XCode 1.5 question

Hello

I bought TGE 1.4.2 few months ago and I used it on Windows. Now I would like to install it on my Mac. It is a 10.3.9 (panther). My problem is that the XCode project on the TGE SDK is made for Mac 10.4 and XCode 2.x.
With my Mac version , I can only use XCode 1.5. I'm not a real mac developper. So could you help me to found answer for the following questions :
- Which Xcode project I must create ?
- Which files I have to link to this project ?
- Is it possible to set up TGE 1.4.2 on a Mac 10.3.9 with XCode 1.5?

Thanks for reply.

Possible or not, it's a very bad idea. Xcode 1.5 did not include the SDK support required to produce universal binaries, so you'd leave your MacIntel users quite unhappy if you used it to compile your game.

Yes, it is possible to compile TGE on 10.3.9... but it's not recommended.

You *will* want to upgrade to 10.4, and Xcode 2.4.1 or later. There are some bugs in older versions of the compiler that can be showstoppers for you.

Releases of MacOSX are not hugely expensive, and the benefits of upgrading are significant if you want to use Torque on the Mac.

Share and Enjoy.

Thanks for your replies, men.
I conclude I have to upgrade to 10.4 or to buy a recent version of MacOSX
Have you got an idea to upgrade to 10.4 ?

Not sure what you're asking. 10.4 is the most recent version, and there's no special upgrade price. Or, from another perspective, since every Mac comes ships with some version of MacOS or Mac OS X, there's no non-upgrade price.

Minor point updates are free downloads. So, if you have broadband and not a lot of cash, you can find discounted 10.4.0 discs. You'd need to download a few hundred MBs of updates that you wouldn't need with a more recent base install, but either way you'll end up with 10.4.10.
