Torque is stretching my objects (mirror bend effect)

Whenever a player is near the edge of the screen, torque "stretches" him, like you're looking at a curved mirror

any idea why its doing this and how to fix it?

I did some research on fov and I kind of understand the problem. But if I move the camera way out and set the FOV to 8 for example, it doesn't show shadows (maybe they're too far away?). is there a way to set an orthographic view yet? Or am I missing something?

The shadow on the bottom right character seems to be being clipped, where's his head?

Heh, yeah i noticed that too. the funny thing is that those are the exact same model - the only difference is the clipped one is the player and the unclipped is the ai player. It's not specifically the head that's clipped... my guess is that the raycast bounding box in the model needs to be adjusted.
