How do you add friction to brushes/faces?

You can change the player's speed, etc in script depending on what texture they are standing on. Search for changing footstep sound or something like that to find the right place to make that change.

It is my understanding that the method to change a footstep sound via what texture they are standing on doesn't work, and hasn't for 2 years. If I am mistaken David, please let me know (I'd be overjoyed to be wrong)
