Hey all,

After getting asked by many individuals, I have decided to provide this service.
I am an experienced games designer working for a highly successful game company and if you have any questions whatsoever related to game design, how to get a job, recommended book - absolutely anthing- whether related to design, art, programming, publishing, marketing, testing etc.

I am willing to answer a question for $3. Thus $3 per question so you may certainly ask more than one question :)

Well let me know if any of you are interested.

I have two questions that aren't under the categories you charge for, so I hope you can answer them for free =)

How many years have you worked in the industry and what company do you work for?

Nick:

I am the CEO of Emotion Rays Entertainment. I am working in gaming industry for the last 11 years (starting from ZX Spectrum), and for the last 4 years my primary income is selling the other's games (so I know how to make a well-selling game). I've made several games that were not very successful because of poor graphics, but they sells way better than many small games, because their gameplay rocks :) I am currently working with several game developers from Russia and helping them to improve their games, so they will be good enough to submit to Big Fish Games and other major publishers. And for them it costs nothing. Me and some of my partners will open a website about game design soon, where we and many other experienced resellers and developers (and also publishers) will give free advices to non-experienced game developers about their games. Also for free.

So, if someone will ask you a question that you can't answer, you can ask me for help for just $6. ;)

Does Michael Abrash really hum Beatles songs while coding in assembly?

@David - Only while working on Cosmic Crusader, not while working on Quake...they don't allow Beatles or Disney songs at id....or do they? I'd pay $3 to know that....Nick, care to chime in on that?

Wow. I just had a scary vision.

Brian Hook and Little John
Walkin' through the forest
Laughin' back and forth
At what the other'ne has to say
Reminiscin', This-'n'-thattin'
Havin' such a good time
Oo-de-lally, Oo-de-lally
Golly, what a day

I have no idea which John is Little John, though. I don't want to venture a guess, either!

I have to laugh at this post, because there isn't any way I would pay $3 for advise. Oh ya you a little late for April fools.

Oh, what sad times are these when passing ruffians can 'rickroll' at will. There is a pestilence upon this land, nothing is sacred. Even those who arrange and design shrubberies are under considerable economic stress at this period in history.
