From something as simple as icons for your menu to something as complicated as an anime-style MMORPG avatar with mix-and-matchable clothing, I work reliably and cheaply and make sure my clients are happy with their purchases. ;) Please visit my website to see samples and prices.

Both of us agree that your works seem a bit.. well amateurish.
Please dont get upset about this remark. instead, think of ways you could either mitigate this impression, or dispel it altogether.
An uneducated suggestion by me, would be to remove the plethora of samples you have, and instead focus on either what people think are really, really awesome, or what you are trying to create/sell going forward (it seems like you are trying to go for vector graphics on your site, but I only see a few of them)
Also, presentation does matter, consider revamping your website design to be more progressive.
take what i say with some skeptism, because i'm not a graphic artist, but also try to get some value out of what i said.
hope that helps,
-Jason

Mare, a bit of a suggestion, from two people actually, one who has "been around" the indie scene a while (myself), and one who hasnt really touched computers. Both of us agree that your works seem a bit.. well amateurish.

Jason - The type and quality of my work is what it is, and that's the way it looks after almost 9 years of practice. While I can attempt to imitate a particular style if asked, I cannot alter the techniques or quality of my work as a whole, certainly not in a small amount of time. So, if my work is amateurish then it's amateurish; If it was professional I would be charging a lot more for my time. And I'd be doing a graphic novel or an animated movie, not begging for little jobs making icon sets.
Ironically this webpage design is brand new, I just finished spending a week redoing it. But yes I have gotten a ton of negative reviews on it, and am trying to rethink it. I really don't like the style of webpages that are currently considered progressive, but perhaps some sort of compromise will occur to me.
What people think is 'really awesome' varies wildly - I've had people tell me they love the fishman, hate the fishman, are aroused by the dark angel, think the dark angel is the most childish thing on the page, think the proportions of my anime characters are graceful, think the proportions of my anime characters are ugly and unnatural, think my vector stuff is snazzy, think my vector stuff is flat and boring. So I really have no idea which pieces the average viewer will like or dislike. My own goal was simply to illustrate all the things that I am capable of doing so that a prospective client would be easily able to see if I do what they want, and about how much I would charge for it. I like creating a variety of things, and am happy to sell whatever people want to buy. The vector stuff takes the least amount of time and effort to produce and has been selling the most, those are the only reasons I put emphasis on it. My favorite things to do are probably clothing and monsters, and I want to work on animation because I'll learn the most from that, but other than that I try to be a Jill of all trades because I like variety and think that flexibility is admirable. I want game designers to be able to see that if they are making a cartoony 2D game I can provide all the different types of graphics they need.

Will - I'm afraid you'll have to be a bit more specific. What do "different" and "step up" mean as you are using them? But I can certainly provide additional or replacement graphics and animation for your games - icons, tiling textures, characters, monsters, weapons, spells, scenery, if you describe what you want I'll be happy to quote you a price and the amount of time it will take me to do it. :)Jason - The type and quality of my work is what it is, and that's the way it looks after almost 9 years of practice. Just finished my most recent job, so I'm available for a new job - icons seem to be my specialty now, although I still love doing monster, race, and clothing designs. Rates as reasonable as you will find anywhere, and I'm happy to answer questions about whether I can match a particular style or do a particular task. :) (and no, I never did get around to redoing my website from when the above comments were made, maybe I'll do that if I don't pick up a new job in a few days.

I want like medieval themed stuff.
preferably undead for monsters, and a mage with a merlin style look to him.
start with the simple animations, just a walk and idle.
preferably no more than 30 frames per animation cycle.
how much for those two? with two animations each.
Do I get the source art? Do I own the artwork?
or is it licensed?

There isn't any physical source art since I work almost entirely on the computer. You do get the source svg or psd files. I retain the right to reuse the images either watermarked in my portfolio, or unwatermarked on t-shirts and other things that don't directly compete with a video game unless you want to pay extra to get exclusive rights to everything. But I have to warn you that unless you're happy with a fairly simplistic cartoony style humanoid animations might be a bit beyond my ability. Also I need to know what the perspective of the game is - isometric, side-on, 3/4 overhead, or what. The animations would be 12 frames or less (maybe as few as 4) unless you wanted an idle where the character did more then one thing. The price would be $10 a frame for humanoid characters or undead including skeletons, vampires, zombies, $8 a frame for animals.

But we really need more vector art in my game, can you check out www.modernmoviei.com? You rates are cheap enough that we could probobly pay you if you stepped your art up a bit. please check out Video and let me know if you think you can fill in.
