Working on a post-apocolpytic game, no real general goal right now just building the map, models, etc. etc. and throwing it all together, anybody want to join in?

Not yet, i have a bunch of models made, and i began working on the map today but nothing is noteworthy at this time. My goal as of right now to get a cityscape built, nothing in particular, after that im going to start working with characters and personalizing those characters (i can program a little, but not very good). besides that i have a ridiculous amount of concept art that ill eventually scan.

You probably know there are a few post-apocalyptical games in progress around, and maybe we could be interested in what you have done? ;)
What is your plan?

Well this is kind of shitty but its what i started with yesterday, working on the 'filler' aspects of it right now, as in the cars, newspaper stands, lights, etc. etc.... trying to make a relatively realistic world.

Very much so, i love the fallout genre but sadly its kind of dying (post-apocalyptic in general) though fallout 3 is coming out soon but the scale of things just dont seem right, its focused around the washington, DC area...thats not that big - i like scale and grandure as well as something that goes in debth and you can feed on for awhile.

I have to disagree, the genre is slowly coming back, Fallout 3, Darkwind: War On Wheels, Ruins, and Bank's MMORPG (sorry Bank, I don't remember the name right now... :p).

a stalker-esque game in that setting would be great fun. Not full RPG but many shooter elements.

Yea its been a pain trying to create a 'living' city.... ack but its not going to bad right now, need a programmer soon though. and been working hard on animations for characters, got about 130 of them, all pretty smooth.

I'm programming a post-apocalyptic type game myself atm. It's a rts/fps (the players can collect resources, build structures like power stations, energy collectors, weapon depots, etc, and also research to get better weapons, ammo, vehicles, etc... Would you be interested in something like that?
