Wheelchair races, edited

In 1996, Jim Alan was a rookie driver in NASCAR. He was a great driver and won four races in a row. On the way to a race Jim was in a car crash and broke his neck thinking he would never race again. After a year of physical therapy he got back movement of his upper body. Now, he could finally wheel himself around. Jim wanted more and got an electric wheelchair.

One day, Jim went in for physical therapy and met another disable man who had the same electric wheelchair. The man knew Jim from watching NASCAR and asked Jim if he wanted to race down the hall. Jim said OK let's do it, but for $5. They raced as fast as they could and of course Jim won

A few days went by and Jim was thinking about that race. He went back to the hospital because he had an idea. He started to ask other people in electric wheelchairs if they would like to race around the block. Everyday he would go back to the hospital and more people would want to race with him.


Jim got the idea of a gas powered wheelchair and called his friend who built engines. His buddies from NASCAR built him a custom chair which had a motorcycle engine and bigger tires and after about a month it was ready to go. Jim controls his chair with a joystick and buttons. He went to the track to try it out and everything worked great, it went 90 mph.

My game would be wheelchair racing. For every race you win, you win money. With this money you can buy a new paint job, parts for your chair like a faster engine or bigger tires. You could customize your chair and make it any way you want. Just like disable people in chairs would love to do.
