Hi Brandon

We are just starting work on a project called Neophagia, an MMORPG game that is being developed by a group of indie developers, the work is not a full time paid position but any profits made once the game ships will be split equally amongst the team members. We are currently looking for additional team members to join the project.

You can read the Guide and Skills Chart to get more of an idea on the game and the professionalism being put into this project to make sure it succeeds. We have a website and forums at www.neophagia.us but they are currently being revamped by our web designer (the initial design looks superb so can't wait to see it).

Work is under way on the story and quest lines by the designers, concept artwork by the artistic guys and from the technology side of things (which is my area) we have the following completed:

A working back end Server - running a modified version of TGE 1.5.2 & AFX 1.0.1 on a linux platform, a seperate thread (to gain a performance boost) in the engine runs an interface to mysql for database access and currently the user can create an account, login, create a character that is persistant in the world.

A working front end Client - running modified TGE 1.5.2 & AFX 1.0.1 (on windows, linux and mac), we will be merging the modernization kit soon but need to modify that so that it can be switched on/off dependant on if the end user has the neccesary opengl 2.0 drivers installed (from reading Alexs latest post this might be something he is working on so will see).

This means we can have our next weekly team meeting "in game" which apart from being a great deal of fun chucking fireballs at each other gives us a chance to check the server instance running and for the story and artistic people a chance to see how things look and gain ideas they can put into action. Our target is on always keeping a stable release available for just those reasons.

We also have:
1. Webdav file share for all documentation.
2. SVN repository for all source code for the engine, game, etc.
3. Investigating a project management toolkit currently that will be up shortly.

There is still a huge amount of work to be done on what will be a big project, but we're focused and putting in place the right designs, team structures and things to give ourselves the best chance of succeeding. If yourself or indeed anyone else reading this would like to know more or to get involved then please contact me at redrolo@hotmail.com.

Hey Andy! Thanks a lot for the offer. I skimmed through you guide but I can't work on your project for religious reasons. Thanks anyways!

I am still available if anyone else has a project in mind! Thanks in advance!
