by Stephen Zepp · in Site Feedback · 07/01/2007 (11:05 am) · 9 replies

Our download servers are experiencing some time-out issues for certain customers at this time. We hope to have this issue resolved in the near future.

Symptoms:
--Main web page works well
--unable to download products from "My Account"
--at this time only the non-demo versions of products appear to be affected.

I downloaded the TGB 30 day trial. After downloading and installing, nothing really happened. The only thing available to me is the uninstaller. Am I missing something?

Paul, what is the size of the downloaded installer? It sounds to me like you may have gotten a corrupt download. Also, what OS are you using and can you redownload and reinstall?

Thanks for your reply Kenneth.

I'm using XP Pro. The website says 1.9MB, but it was actually around 2.32MB. The installation interface came up fine, everything seemed to work fine, theres just nothing within the folder (no executable, only the uninstaller executable).

Thanks again for your help.

I should also mention that I didn't download the software update.

Ah ok, I see what the problem is then. The 2.3 meg file you downloaded is a 'stub' installer that goes out and grabs the rest of the software to complete the installation once you choose update.

Just select update, let is download the rest of the software for the installation, and you should be good to go :)

Sorry if it seemed worded confusingly!

Kenneth,

Ahh great, after a little while I started to figure that's what it was. My major problem is I'm on dialup so it's going to take me 4 hours to download, lol.

Kenneth,

LOL, yeah, my wireless card should be in soon.

Yeah, worked perfectly and started working on an example project. A lot to grasp, but everything is when it's new.

Thanks for the help.
