Anyone here working on a movie app?

I'm thinking of making a movie creation mod for torque, which will allow you to play a demo, move the camera at will and record the camera positions, and create an stand-alone movie (mpeg or avi or maybe divx). Basically things that OMF and some other games have that allow you to make demo's to show off to the public.
Anywyas I'm thinking of making this but before I start I was wondering if anyone else had this project currently underway? It won't be an easy task and after I finish the master server I'll have to look at some code and learn how to manipulate the camera via scripts, but I am willing to go at this. No point in reinventing the wheel if someone else is already attempting this. As I remember a long time ago there was discussion about this.
