Looking for a programmer for a SRPG

I wasn't sure which forum to post this in but I'm sure this one will do. If not a mod can move it of course.

Anyway to quickly get to the point I've been making games for some time now, but there's a big difference between any of you here and myself. That is I've never made a video game, only concepts for video games and occasionally D&D type board games.

Now though... I'm trying to find someone that can help me make a playable video game. Basically I lack any knowledge in programming (Was directed here by a friend) and was hoping someone could help me out.

To sum it up quickly it's a Final Fantasy Tactics/Disgaea type SRPG. So (As far as I know) Shouldn't be too complicated to make.

To sum it up the long way, it started off as an idea to make FFT a board game. See my friends and I always enjoyed D&D but found the battle system a little slow and wanted something a little more linear. So then I brought up the idea of playing it FFT style so I set about attempting to do such.

Problems ended up coming up though as I attempted to make a transition of FFT to a board, basically there were of course many features that would make it as a board game rather slow. Mostly because there were things done by the computer for us that took care of otherwise tedius things.

A few days later I ended up with a similar system to FFT but not quiet FFT. By then the only two things related to it really was the way armor worked and being able to combine job classes.

After a few weeks of then working on it to really make it balanced out and adding a number of my own job classes to it it was finally ready to play. So then my usually group of 4 friends got together and from 6pm to 10 am the next morning we were playing it and having an assload of fun. It turned out great, there were a few problems but was able to soothe them out.

Now by the end of the month, playing each night (At most I was only expecting them to want to play it once a month.) we were up to 13 of us (They scrambled to get more people to join us and play.). So then things were really getting great, unfortunately by about that same time the school year started up again and most of them went off to college, got more involved with work etc. and so we ceased to play.

Anyway from the intensity we played during that month (Not the first time we've played a game I made) I learned a lot of things that could be added/changed etc.

So for the next few weeks again I intensely worked on it to make it the best I could. It ended up becoming something much more than what I had originally set it out to be. The way your characters get stronger/level especially is very different from just about any game I've ever played. It was also extremely versatile in how you could customize your character/s.

But after a while it became apparent that my old friends would never be able to gather again to play it so just for some kicks I made it out for a video game (I was able to add a lot more with the idea that it would be a game.).

So, now several months later and still every so often routinely refining it further, I've become very in-complacent with it being nothing more than a waste of space. It upsets me to think of it as a waste of time and effort so I've begun trying to find someone that may be able to actually make it.

*sigh* Now, I'd rather not discuss the details with you here... sorry but you know...paranoid. I'm not even sure if any one would be interested but I thought I'd give it a try. But from the feedback I got from when we first played if it were a game it'd beat the crap out of any current srpg's on the market. If possible I'd like to even go so far as attempt to make it a free online game like www.travian.us. Although I'm not interested in money I would just like a chance to play it myself.

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but you'll have to post some details and probably have some kind of design document or something before anyone will pay any attention to you.

Almost everyone hear wants to do game design, but it's hard to work on anything without being an artist, programmer, or musician.

RPGs in particular have very high resource requirements. I plan to program an RPG later this year, but I have to be reasonable about it because the art requirements can't be too high. Combat will be similar to Septerra Core, and there will probably only be a world map (no interior area maps).

In general, most people have to reduce their feature set to actually finish a game.

You'd be better off helping someone with the level design for an RPG project that's already in progress. I don't think mine is really what you're looking for, and I haven't started it yet anyways. But there's probably someone out there who you could work with.
