Detail Test: Tunnle

Well I was wondering how much detail I could cram into a building so I made this. Amazingly theres no lag, so I could add more If I wanted

Making 3D art u mean? Or using contsructor?
I've been using constructor ever since it came out, but in that time i've only made about 4-5 buildings. I've been using other 3D programs for about 3-4 years. I did this all in one day.
Thanks! =D

Jared, sorry, no the doors don't work. They're just textures. I haven't had the time to create moving doors yet.

Thanks! =D

Second Question. I have a problem when I go into complex models of keeping track of them and also of altering them when I make them (slanting the brush, etc). I look at yours and wonder how you did that. I dont need the full story of how you made it, but if you could tell me how you altered it and kept track of everythings placing Id appreciate it. Only way I do it is through the perspective view and even then it gets hard with the more brushes you put in around the target brush area.

Yeah, when it gets complexe i usualy use the perspective view. But I dont usualy edit complexe models. What I do is, when a modle is becoming to complexe I create a new document just for creating certain peaces and then I move thoughs peaces (after I've finished them) back into the main file and place them where I want. On this one though I didnt need to do that. I mostly just use the perspective view to find what I'm looking for.

"I haven't had the time to create moving doors yet."

How do you create moving doors in constructor?

Awesome work Josiah. I just started constructing my sci fi levels for Brave and I can appreciate the amount of work that goes into what you have created - and all in a day!!! Did you have to do any texturing work? Or did you have all the textures ready? I should probably do it that way ... hmmm....

If anyone knows how to do moving doors in Constructor I would appreciate a solution, but I'm pretty sure you would do it using DTS's as in some of the door resources on these pages...

I had all the textures ready before I started. Except the door texture, which I created after I started and realized I needed it.

Yup, it does look really good. The only thing that bugs me is the misaligned caution marks (or whatever, the yellow/black stripes) on the floor, but that's more of a thing I got :p

You do realize this thread is almost 1 year old though, right?
