Hole in terrain = hole in water?

by Greg M · in Torque Game Engine · 06/15/2007 (12:26 pm) · 3 replies

I am attempting to place a cave entrance underwater and in setting an empty tile in the terrain to pass through it reflects that on the waters surface. Any clues to how to fix this or if its even possible would be greatly appreciated. There is a pic of what I am trying to fix here http://www.mediamax.com/gembone/Hosted/holy_water.JPG

Can I ask you a question a bit out of field, how did you do the water in your game?

Don't know what to tell you greg.

i just tested this in TGE and could not recreate the issue.

what version of TOrque you using? TGEA? or TGE 1.5.X?

I tested this in TGE 1.4.2 no problems.

This is with TGE 1.5.2 and the water is just a large single waterblock to cover the lake and streams conected to it. I tried changing the reflections and surface types. if I fill the empty tile back in it goes away. only thing I haven't tried is recreating the entire water block.
