Content Packs with Demo?

by John Reynolds · in Torque Game Engine · 06/12/2007 (10:54 am) · 4 replies

Hi guys,

I'm about to bite the bullet with getting Torque, and I'm excited to get my hands dirty. Money is a bit tight at the moment, so my question is, am I able to use content packs with the Demo? I don't see having to change the source code to get my project off the ground, and will be purchasing the indie liscense ASAP, so I'd just like to start prototyping as quickly as possible.

Thanks!

Yes, I think you will be able to use most of the content packs with the demo. Most of the content packs that I have bought require you to make script changes at most.

Hmmm...I may just purchase the full version first, since I will then get access to the documentation, private forums, TDN, etc.

Thanks for the reply though!

The private forums offer more help. Some are little reluctant to share in the public forums because of pirating. Believe me it is definitely worth it.

I agreed with William it is definitely worth it. You will have access to resources which is a great help.
