Visibility track

Im adding a visibility track to a model.
I assume I need to export as a morph animation?
Or do I just leave the model in the file with my bones rig when exporting as a dsq?

So its a morph animation then?

... a visibility animation is a visibility animation, it controls the opacity of the whole node and not certain pixels of it.

No...Quote:You should just need a sequence with a visibility export option checked.

Or should I just try and play both threads simultaneously?

Basically I have a skeletal bones animation applied to the model already. Is it possible to export bones inside the dts?Or should I just try and play both threads simultaneously?

- Yes you can export bones with a DTS, in fact you need to if you ever plan on using a DSQ
- If you meant "do I have to export all of my animations in the DTS file as well" the answer is no. You can continue to use DSQs for all your transform animations that take place with the bones and use the DTS for animations that require visbility, morphs, uvw changes, etc.
- If you want to mix visibility with other animations you will need to do a few things. First have a sequence in your DTS that is completely visible, then have a second sequence that is your visibility animating to 0. This should allow you to control the blending properly when mixing it with other DSQs.

Wow your last post has confused the hell out of me. As such I am going to throw some answers out in the air and see what sticks to your window.- Yes you can export bones with a DTS, in fact you need to if you ever plan on using a DSQ

I had assumed animations within the dts were morph.
What I meant by export the bones inside the dts file I meant the bones animations. But I have answered that question already myself. The answer seems to be yes.
I have even gotten the visibility track working in TGE ... no luck with TGEA though.
Do you know if there is any further steps needed to be taken for it in TGEA?
As far as I can tell in TGEA the only values that are recognised are 1 and 0 (or 100% and 0% to you and me).
Basically Im looking to use the track to blend models together so having it as an on/of switch rather then a gradual change is a pain.

Thanks for the help Logan. I figured out how to get it working from your last post eventually anyway.I had assumed animations within the dts were morph.

What I mean by that is the object is either completely visible or completely invisible.

Also note that you cannot export visibilit animations as a DSQ (dsqs only hold transform data) as such you must export the visibility animation with the DTS.
