Lightwave Characters- For the Newb in me

Ok, I just got done with school and finally have time to work on TGE. I am currently wondering if there are any tutorials for the making of characters to import into the engine. Or, if it is simple and you just want to post a short discription here, that works too. I am currently on a Mac with LW9, the DTS exporter installed, and TGE 1.5.
