releaesd: my first T2 map made with the GG editor

this is my first map made entirely with the T2 beta editor... which is based on the Torque editor.

thanks Garage Games, the editor is pretty slick... it didn't even slow me down too much ;)

what I mean is, although parts of the new World Editor are somewhat cumbersome, the bulk of the changes are for the good. for instance, adding bot support has never been easier.

now, for the final if we can only get rid of that alt-w "drop player" keybind (it's too easy to press)... and allow the editor to open in observer mode (mappers have learned to map in observer mode for various beneficial reasons)... much of the mapping community will be happy :)

there might be other mapping issues as well, perhaps it's time for BotMilk to check-out the threads in the www.Tribes2maps.com forums again soon :)

thx Garage Games for the continuing solid T2 "final update" efforts.

umm.. that is the proper spelling of "released" in the original latin :P

if you play the map you'll notice that the objective is called the "Games Garage"... a tip of the hat to Garage Games (but without the copyright infringements lol)

Alex, in tribes 2, if you enable the cheats, don't you have an option to drop the player and fly away with an observer camera? At least you have that in torque so what we do is drop the player and then open the editor.

to be honest, I've actually added modded code to the "cheat" functions in T2 but I've never successfully tried them :P

but as far as I've seen, the only cheats available give the admin all weapons and 999 ammo...

but I'd sure like to hear otherwise :)
