Incorrect processor info?

At the top of the console it lists the type/speed of the processor...it changes on mine each time between 1GHz and 1.17GHz (I'm running a 2.2 GHz AMD x64 3200+ single-core with a nforce4 chipset, NVidia 7600GT and 1GB of DDR400 RAM).
Any clue what's up with this?

I didn't think it was doing too much harm, I'm running at a great framerate, I'm just curious as to whether it's just a FYI thing or if it's actually doing something, and why it thinks my processor is half the speed it really is.

So it doesn't actually affect how the game's running? It's not calculating any sort of detail based on what it think the processor can handle?I didn't think it was doing too much harm, I'm running at a great framerate, I'm just curious as to whether it's just a FYI thing or if it's actually doing something, and why it thinks my processor is half the speed it really is.

That's nothing. Sometimes Torque detects my Nvidia 6600 as an ATI Radeon card that I've never even heard of. I've never owned nor installed an ATI card, ever, so who knows why Torque reports my card as one.

Thanks!

In any case, it's just a string and a test. It has nothing to do with how your game runs.

It doesn't fetch any information about the processor's clock speed, AFAIK. It tries to measure it. Might be something they did to make it work across different platforms, I don't know.In any case, it's just a string and a test. It has nothing to do with how your game runs.
