Real Time Clouds - SilverLining

by Joseph Euan · in Torque Game Engine · 06/01/2007 (9:57 am) · 4 replies

I found a website a couple of week ago for an SDK to add 3d realtime clouds to games (and a bunch of other stuff)

It's called SilverLining

It's only 132.75 GBP for a Single Product Royalty-Free License, which seems pretty good.

Only reason i'm posting this is because they have a forum section for torque users, the only post on there is from the forum admin just saying a few people have added it to torque.

So I wanted to post here and ask if anyone has managed to get it working with torque, how easy was it and if they have any screenshots to share?

Thanks

Joseph

Some people were working on this a while ago, with TGEA I believe. I don't believe it ever eventuated into anything (a hurdle was never overcome). A search of these forums should yield the post in question.

A friend of mine, who used to work at Sierra, knows Frank at Sundog who also worked for Sierra - he's a bright guy.

I think the AirAce has it implemented in one way or another. I also know a few others who've tried it, but not in TGEA.
