Exporting to Torque?

Could anyone tell me effective ways to export models to Torque complete with animation as seamlessly as possible?
I am not referencing any specific 3D application to do this with, though I will say that I am not interested in Max or Maya because of the price. I want to keep the price under $1000. I would like to use XSI but I have read that there is no way to export from this application and keep the animation. Another application that I am interested in is Lightray3D which exports to Torque.
Also, I would like to know if complex animation can be achieved from within Torque itself. If so, would I be better off animating withing GameStudio?
I am simply seeking the best alternatives that require the least amount of tweaking.
Thanks.

I never heard of LightRay3d, its relative cheap... if it works ok I guess I will buy it :P Is there any tutorials specific for torque exportation? I already search but I found nothing.

There is an XSI exporter, I heard it works well. I have XSI, but I haven't used it much lately since I recieved Max from my school and thats what all my assignments are made in.

I also noticed you don't have a license (WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR). Trust me get it befor the upgrade grade comes. I have a feeling its coming soon.

I have the XSI Exporter forum topic bookmarked in my favorites. I am waiting to hear if it works all right in the newest XSI update.
Also, no, I do not yet have a license because I am still trying to decide what software to get. I have owned Blitz3D for years but I am very disappointed because the software has really not been kept up to date with technology (i.e., DirectX). Obviously I made the wrong choice...
So now I am looking very seriously at both Torque and 3D Gamestudio (I am not trying to start a flame war between the two applications, but you mentioned that I do not have a license and I am explaining why). Actually, I had expected 3D Gamestudio to become vaporware and once again I was wrong. I am impressed with what I am reading on their site now regarding A7 and with the new "C-Lite". Their support is very active and the community is huge.
With Torque the community is also very active and I love the supporting applications that are available for Torque. At this point I think either Torque or 3D Gamestudio would be a good choice, so the way I have decided to choose between the two is to try and find which one has the easiest pipeline to get fully textured and animated 3D files into the engine. I am absolutely sick of trying to use several little applications just to get usable content into a game environment.
As I said before, I am most interested in SoftImage XSI because I love the nondestructive way of editing preexisting character meshes that are already rigged and textured. This would save SO much time. However, if another application is ultimately the better choice then of course I am very interested.
Thank you very much for your responses so please do tell me more. And if I am sufficiently impressed with both Torque and 3D Gamestudio, I may even entertain the idea of acquiring both. I don't want to be left in the cold again...

it is very intuitive and easy to use.. it can import and export several common file formats.. and there is a working torque dst / dsq exporter...
plus there some examples and tutorials on how to do it
if you go for a low cost 3d desing aplication.. this is probably the best you can get .. if you dont want to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars

try a demo to check it out
Cheers!!

There simply has to be one excellent way to get content into the engine or else why use it?
By the way, by saying this I am not against using Lightray (as a matter of fact, I will probably go ahead and get it), but this really surprises me. Why isn't there something recommended by the developer or even created by the developer that just... works?

Maybe I am missing something, just not reading closely enough, but it would seem to me that there should be some type of solution that is guaranteed to work whether it be in-house or 3rd-party. Something that would be "recommended" by Garage Games. This is after all game development software and there should be some infallible way of getting content into it. Is there perhaps something within Torgue itself that allows you to bone and animate meshes? Any upcoming applications by Garage Games for TGE?There simply has to be one excellent way to get content into the engine or else why use it?

I am not sure if GG will come out with something but LightRay3d is very good. I have use other softwares but none as easy as LightRay3d. I would say LightRay3d is an excellent way to get content into Torque.
