Players last view on mount Vehicle.

I am working with a programmer on a custom vehicle type that has a lot of per mount node options. And the new scripts work just fine with the default car (buggy) and even works with the tanks there new actions maps for that node gets pushed and all works great. The problem only happens with the new custom vehicle when you jump and collide with the vehicle to mount it. Your last view as the player stays stationary and you end up controlling the vehicle like a radio controlled car. Have looked in to the bounding box size, collision meshes, and there isn't anything different.
The programmer has made a modifications to the player that allows us to kill the jump in progress and made a console function to get around this, and killing the jump function when mounting works, but rather not do it like this..
Could the way that I build the mesh have any significances to why this problem is happening. Like a mesh outside the collision mesh.
Has any one had this problem and be willing to help I would be most great full.
Thanks..
