Dated resources

Im sure a lot of you have noticed but alot of the resources in the "resource" section are quite old ... most are from 2003 some from as early as 2000 ... this wouldnt bother me if they actually worked with TGE 1.5.2
does anyone know where there are resources (in particular AI or other script based) available that work with TGE 1.5.2.

That's true, but I think there should be a way of marking a download on a page as 'not available'. Most of the times, resources reference outside files. When the files aren't available any more, it loses its usefulness.

i havent tried AI Guard yet since it involves recompiling ... something i have very little experience with and i was hoping that there was a script based AI which i could put in which i could tinker with.
That being said does AI Guard work 100% with 1.5.2

@Tom i have gone thru alot of the AI resources already including "killer kork" (which no longer works) and alot of the other resources have broken links or a VERY out dated and need rewrites to get working with 1.5.2 i havent tried AI Guard yet since it involves recompiling ... something i have very little experience with and i was hoping that there was a script based AI which i could put in which i could tinker with.

I have "Killer Kork" working in 1.5.1. I would imagine that it works fine in 1.5.2 as well.
As for AI Guard, I know it works with 1.5 (as I have if merged into a AFX Build that I have). I think that it "should" work with 1.5.2. Only way to find out is to try it.

Then I started the starter.fps and loaded in the base/bare mission and they were all in there going to war.

I just tried "Killer Kork" on a fresh install of 1.5.2 and all I did was copy and paste the scripts into the scripts folder and ran the delete dso bat file. Then I started the starter.fps and loaded in the base/bare mission and they were all in there going to war.

I'm running on a dual core system with 2GB ram and a good video card, so i don't notice any problems.
You might want to look into reducing the number of bots spawned.

If it seems "laggy" then its probably because your frames per second are down from all the bots.I'm running on a dual core system with 2GB ram and a good video card, so i don't notice any problems.

A lot of the more popular resources are kept updated by the comunity that use them (i.e. they get it to work in the latest version and update the resource page with a post exaplining how).
For AI there are numerous resources. Try searching for "killer kork" and "AI Guard". Of the top of my head I think both of them will work with 1.5.2 easily ;)
