First Model

I created this over the last week using Constructor.

It works pretty well and I love how it turned out. I'm liking Constructor a lot, but I still have to learn how to do a lot of things before I can continue my development.

I was wondering if anyone knows what application is good for tree/plant creation.

Here are some shots from my model.

Maybe resize the stone textures, at the moment the stones look too big (I don't model so I don't know if that means re-doing the texture or the model itself!). Other then that It looks great, especially for a first model :)

Looks good for a first model!!! I must agree with Tom Perry on the stone size thing... you could either adjust the texture itself or the way it is mapped across the brushes... but they would look better and more "in proportion" if they were smaller.

As far as trees and plants go, grab Milkshape. I have been using it for a long time and you can get transparency and a heck of a lot of other cool stuff out of it. I've used it for plants and had very good results. The price is around $80 I think, but well worth it if you are even half way serious about development. MUCH cheaper than something like MAX or MAYA!!!!

Thanks for the feedback!

I'll make sure those textures look better for the final version ;)

One problem I'm having with Milkshake is that its PC only and I'm on a Mac (G5).

I'm using blender, but so far the interface has a real difficult learning curve!!
