Bad documentation?

I just got TGEA and started reading the documentation. I'm trying to follow the instructions to get everything set up, but it's telling me to do things with files that didn't come with the download.
For example, it tells me to run VC7 .cc compiling.reg, but there is no such file in the entire folder. It tells me select and buld torque demo in vc, but it doesnt exist. Many of the files and directories are just wrong.
I'm guessing this is all because that documentation isn't for tge advanced. If there is some kind of tutorial or instructions for getting started with tgea, can someone give me a link to it? I don't know what to do here.
thanks.

Following the guide should get you set up compiling the source code, however I do advise if you have just started to learn as much about TorqueScript as possible, the in-game designer works quite well, it has its quirks but approaching torque from this end will give you a better start than working from the source code.
There are a few good books available if you find Torque lacking in documentation, which infact there is so much of it, plotted around this site and on the TDN and plenty of user donated articles and content.
Its not that the documentation is bad, its just badly organised in my opinion, but its definetly there.

There is a page that describes how to setup visual studio that describes it quite well starting here:http://tdn.garagegames.com/wiki/TGEA/InstallVS2005
