Arch exterior has no projectile collision

I was just wondering if anybody has tested these arches in game yet.
The projectile flies right through the exterior hull of the arch.
The character collision works fine and the projectile on the inside works fine.
It would be ok if we were only makeing "tunnels".
I was just thinking, would it be cheaper to have no collision on the exterior if it was only used as a tunnel. If so could this be made into an arch tool option? Or better yet, a texture like"null" , to render that face collisionless. It could be used all over a structure with unseen faces that don't need collision.
