Content Pack Import To gameSpace 1.6

Hey guys, i'm hoping this is the right place to post this. i have a couple of Tim Aste's content packs. Everything comes in industry-standard formats, and i've been trying to get the models to import into gameSpace 1.6 so that i can save them in the object library and reuse them.
However, when i import the .3ds or .obj files, they come in and i can barely make sense of what i'm seeing. For example, i'll use a grass file. i've been importing the .obj file using the Luv plugin that comes with gS. When the file comes in, all i see is an untextured box. If i go into the Scene Editor, it lists 4 objects, "bounds" and 3 copies of "grass 64". If i delete out "bounds", i can see the outline of three different objects, when i select each of the "grass 64" objects in the Scene Editor. However, they are complete transparent. Nothing is visible. When i render, i finally see the planes, they're there but with no textures.
Obviously, when i import the items they're coming in without the textures for some reason. They come in with "bounds" (do i need that, what is it?) and often something called "coll
Help, please?
Thanks,
Net

As for texture paths, i *thought* i had it set up correctly, but maybe i'm missing it somewhere. i'll look again, thanks.

Okay, so if i manage to get the item imported in with the correct texture, then the bounds and nodes will NOT be textured, and the reason is it's not supposed to be. So just make them invisible? As for texture paths, i *thought* i had it set up correctly, but maybe i'm missing it somewhere. i'll look again, thanks.

Material Editor should show you the texture path. I don't use TrueSpace much anymore so my memory is a bit fuzzy.
Hope that helps.

Correct, the Bounds and Nodes do not not need to be textured Although, they can be but, when exported the textures will be ignored. So you can do whatever you want there:)Material Editor should show you the texture path. I don't use TrueSpace much anymore so my memory is a bit fuzzy.

(And you're helping just great. Thanks a bunch!) :D

Where does the texture path need to point? Right now, it's pointing to the directory where i store all the textures that work generally with gS. This is not where any of the models i'm trying to import are located.(And you're helping just great. Thanks a bunch!) :D

So, If you don't get the texture path error (asking if you want to find the texture manually) then you might have to manually apply the textures once you get the mesh imported.
You can try this: Place the model and textures in a single folder anywhere you like and then import. Hopefully gS will find them that way.

Fun isn't it. Once you do get the textures showing up you'll see what I mean about the paths to each texture that's applied on the mesh. I think we need to have them show up first though...?So, If you don't get the texture path error (asking if you want to find the texture manually) then you might have to manually apply the textures once you get the mesh imported.

The extra shapes you see in the file are the "nodes" they are a reference for the exporter and are not seen in the game.
Don't delete the bounds, your going to need that. It's another type of reference for the exporter and how your shape is orientated in the game/world. Bounds and Nodes go much deeper than that in an explanation but that's the basic idea. Simply hide the bounds and node shapes don't delete them because you won't export the shape correctly without them.
[added] The Bounds, nodes (col, etc). They do not need or require a texture.
